Brooklyn is 10 Months Old! - March 20th, 2016

Brooklyn turned 10 months old on March 20th.  To celebrate she went to Grammy and Gramps' house to dye Easter Eggs.  So mostly watched her older cousins and played with toys, she wasn't very interested in dying eggs.

Brooklyn is cruising all over the place!  She loves moving from one piece of furniture to the next and is even starting to stand without holding on.  She is talking a lot more these days too but so far we haven't picked up a "first word."  She's definitely working on it.  She finds Kedzie to be the best entertainment there is and really enjoys feeding her.  Occasionally Brooklyn will wave at herself in the mirror...we are working on waving "bye-bye."

10 Month Photo Shoot Outtakes
Brooklyn got very upset during this photo session whenever we tried to stop her from eating the 10 month sticker

Brooklyn's 1st St. Patrick's Day - March 17th, 2016

On the eve of St. Patrick's Day this year Brooklyn got sick and was a little under the weather for the festivities on St. Patty's Day.  She spent the morning relaxing with Nana and working up the energy for a quick photo shoot with Mom in the afternoon.

Brooklyn's first time at the polls - March 8th, 2016

Brooklyn and Mom walked up to Field Elementary School today to exercise Mom's right to vote in the primary Presidential election.  It was a great day for a walk and Brooklyn decided on a patriotic outfit for the occasion.  There was even a small line for the primary.  People were impressed that Brooklyn was voting and she even got a sticker.  Mom told Brooklyn how important it is to be an informed voter!

Cousin Anna's 4th Birthday & Aunt Emily's 30th Birthday - March 5th, 2016

On March 2nd Cousin Anna turned 4 and on March 4th Aunt Emily turned 30!  They both had birthday celebrations on March 5th.  We went to Anna's birthday party first.  Brooklyn enjoyed the Peep theme and matching with Baby Sloane, Mom enjoyed the Peep drinks mixed by Uncle Ben.  Then we went home where Aunt Emily's friends gathered to board a party bus to Detroit.  Brooklyn said hi to all of Aunt Emily's friends and then Nana and Grandpa took her to their house for a sleep over!  Kedzie was exhausted by all the visitors!

Sun-Day Fun-day! - February 28th, 2016

Shortly after the snow day we started seeing more signs of spring.  Sunday was absolutely beautiful and we took a 3.5 mile stroll through the Lower Huron Metropark.  Brooklyn enjoyed the ride and Kedzie enjoyed the walk and the smells!
