Swimming at Goldfish - May 2016

Brooklyn's been swimming at Goldfish Swim School in Canton once a week for over 6 months now! She loves it! It's been so much fun to watch her learn and grow in the water. Mom and Dad usually take turns going in with Brooklyn...it's so much fun to be on both sides of the camera for this :)

Luke and Anna Play Soccer - May 22nd, 2016

Brooklyn's birthday weekend had some beautiful weather, so we decided to go to watch cousins Luke and Anna play soccer on Sunday. Brooklyn (unknowingly) dressed in Lucas' team colors...there was no question who we were cheering for!

Previously Brooklyn had been unsure about walking on grass and found the whole experience pretty unsettling, but with the help of Uncle Tim placing some strategic motivating factors (shoes) in the grass...Brooklyn mastered it!

Brooklyn turns 1 year old! - May 20th, 2016

On May 20th, 2016 Brooklyn turned 1 year old! She had a fun day celebrating with her daycare friends and then we had Aunt Emily, Nana, Grandpa, Grammy, & Gramps over that evening to celebrate. Brooklyn got to have cake again, this time she new exactly what to do and wasted no time digging in on her cupcake!

We truly cannot believe it's been a whole year. Brooklyn is a busy-body and is pretty much non-stop. She loves her Kedzie-dog and her Dad. She is walking everywhere, going upstairs, and babbling away. Dancing is her favorite! She can point to her Mama, Dada, and Kedzie dog. Her favorite food is watermelon and string cheese, she's pretty crazy for bananas and puffs too. She has 12 teeth and is working on more. She loves playing with her Little People Princess Castle, Fisher Price Cottage, Beat Bop, and pink stuffed dog, but phones, remotes, water bottles, shoes, and blistex are her absolute favorite "toys!" We are in love with her mischievous grin, but we are terrified of the trouble it's going to bring in the next year and beyond :)

Brooklyn's 1st Birthday Party - May 14th, 2016

On May 14th, 2016 we had some of our closest family and friends over to celebrate Brooklyn's 1st birthday. The part was "under the sea" themed and Aunt Emily helped make the house look great and even made Brooklyn a tutu. Brooklyn had fun working the crowd and going from room to room socializing. She wasn't that interested in present opening so her cousins, Anna and Paige, gladly helped her out. She was slow to get into her cake, but once she did, she loved it! It was a great day celebrating the wonder of the past year.
