Paige's 3rd Birthday Party, Hello Kitty's birthday party (ie Liberty Fest fireworks), and Brooklyn's 1 month birthday - June 20th, 2015

Cousin Paige had a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Bounce House party for her 3rd birthday.  Everyone had a lot of fun.  Brooklyn felt a little sad that she couldn't participate in the bounce house, but she enjoyed watching all the other kids play.

Jacob really enjoyed watching his sister open presents.  He is really looking forward to his first birthday party coming in January

Bounce house fun!

After the birthday party Brooklyn went to Uncle Tim and Aunt Robin's house to celebrate Hello Kitty's birthday (meow and 6 and 20) and watch fireworks.  Brooklyn slept in Mom's arms for the entire fireworks display, despite not wanting to have rest inside the house.  I think it was because she knew she would be able to hear Neil Diamond on repeat as well if she were upstairs, plus she likes to be social

Liberty Fest 2015

Brooklyn got her 1st taste of Canton Liberty Fest this year.  She tried to watch her cousins, Lucas and Anna, on the rides, but she was very tired and had trouble staying awake.  She sort of listened to her Gramps while he babbled on about the good old days and the Canton Country Fair and cow chip flings.  She thought that actually seemed interesting.

Again, the Festival was exhausting

Pascoe Family Dinner - June 13, 2015

Brooklyn had her first big dinner out at the Pascoe Family get together.  She first went to check out Great Uncle Wally's condo and loved the views of the Detroit River.  Then we headed to dinner where she meant all of her Great Aunts and Uncles on the Pascoe side...it's a very special occasion to have them all together and Brooklyn was excited to be a part of it!

Brooklyn is 1 month old - June 20th, 2015

Once again Brookyn's parents attempted to use their camera to take some 1 month pics...I think they are a little better than the newborn pics, hopefully we'll keep learning!  Mom didn't try to edit these ones because she's too behind on the blog...maybe next month
Kedzie gave Brooklyn some kisses for her birthday

We wanted to incorporate a stuffed animal to use each month for relative size difference...this one was crocheted by Brooklyn's Great, Great Aunt Frieda

Brooklyn and The Arb - June 2nd, 2015

Brooklyn's Dad got to take a full 2 weeks off after Brooklyn was born which was very nice.  He went back to work on June 3rd, so on the 2nd we decided we'd enjoy his last day with a trip to the Arb to see the peonies.  Dad and Mom used to hang out in the Arb a lot when they were first dating and wanted Brooklyn to experience it.  She enjoyed it and found it so relaxing she mostly slept.  Highlights included testing out her ergobaby carrier from the Hannon's and her new shades from the Chounard's.  After the walk we went and visited Mom's work.  Mom's co-workers were excited to meet Brooklyn.  Some of Mom's patients were there are they were really excited, especially to learn her name since we talked about it so often during our sessions!

1st Walk - May 25th, 2015

A few days after arriving home and settling in (with the weather's cooperation) we decided it would be okay to start taking Brooklyn for walks.  The whole family went on our first walk with the stroller, even Kedzie.  Kedzie probably enjoyed it the most, she is happy to walk with Brooklyn but prefers to go for walks without her when she can, this way she can focus more on exploring and less on the stroller.

At first Brooklyn was very unsure of the walk...
...but as soon as we passed Scott's house (more or less our next door neighbor) she began to relax
The pic below just highlights that Kedzie was also there
Brooklyn was very relaxed after her walk.  After this we started making them as close to a daily occurrence as possible

Around the House and Newborn pic attempts 5/22-6/19

Brooklyn's mom is a physical therapist so tummy time got started right away!  (This is also what all pediatricians recommend so it really wasn't anything special)
At first Brooklyn just slept during tummy time but she quickly learned to love it a rolled over a day or 2 after we brought her home!
We also like to make Tummy Time a family affair, sometimes even Kedzie joins in!

Brooklyn enjoyed snuggling with her Dad right from the start.  He is so calm and patient it always relaxes her.  I love these moments.

Kedzie also likes to join in on the snuggles with Dad
Mom convinced Dad to get her a nice camera for a "push present."  The deal was Mom wouldn't get professional pictures if we got the camera.  The next couple of pics are just a sample of our attempts to get "newborn pictures" clearly this is going to require some practice

Here we are trying to recreate a picture they took in the hospital with us holding Brooklyn's hands, very hard to accomplish when you are also the photographer.  (ps the phone next to her is playing white noise in attempt to calm her for these pics)
Here we are going for a newborn head to Dad's hands comparison...but mostly it's just Brooklyn looking crazy.
Often Brooklyn expressed her dislike for newborn photography and posing as displayed above..
Eventually we sort of got the hang of it (or at least these aren't a total fail) and the next few also show Mom's first attempts with photo editing

Dad hates Brooklyn's big bow and says it makes her look "like a Vegas showgirl" but Mom really likes it
The final series are some of the "selfie-like" shots that Mom takes of Brooklyn almost daily when Nana & Aunt Emily want daily updates
I call the one above "Milk Drunk"
